HEY GRANITE - SPEAKING OF PRAYER...

We just finished a weekend teaching our church about the importance of PRAYER.  A couple of the take aways were...

  • Your prayer life unlocks your POTENTIAL LIFE
  • ASK and it will be given unto you, SEEK and you shall find, KNOCK and the door shall be OPENED unto you - Matt 7:7
  • Your prayer life reveals the PRIORITIES in your life
  • In order to be prepared we need to be PRAY-PARED
Our CAMPUS PASTORS did such an amazing job speaking this past weekend they spoke with conviction and compassion as they usually do.  Now that the church family has been taught the importance of PRAYER my take away is WHAT DO WE NOW DO AS AN ORGANIZATION to elevate PRAYERS PRIORITY on our campuses?

Well here's a few tings I want to challenge our CAMPUS PASTORS, SERVICE COORDINATORS and MINISTRY TEAMS with...
  • Since PRAYER MATTERS lets be sure to attend the next GRANITE ALL CAMPUS PRAYER MEETING
  • Since PRAYER MATTERS lets have healthy PRAYER TEAMS ready to engage following each service.  Woman ready to pray with woman, men ready to pray with men and couples ready to pray with couples.  Heck why not STUDENTS ready to pray with students
  • Since PRAYER MATTERS lets follow up and flow through on PRAYER REQUESTS
James 5:16, "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.  NLT

LEADERS LEAD

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

FOUR BIG QUESTIONS

At GRANITE moving the ball down the court means we are moving people into BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP.  And since we know PROGRAMS DON'T MORE PEOPLE but that PEOPLE MOVE PEOPLE we have FOUR BIG QUESTIONS we constantly ask in regards to those who are either NEW TO GRANITE or CALL GRANITE HOME.  What are those questions?  Well I'm glad you asked! Who are they? Where are they? What's their next step? Who's leading them?
