There is nothing like having THE RIGHT TEAM MEMBERS by a leaders side!  A RIGHT TEAM MEMBER brings PASSION to an already PASSIONATE PURSUIT OF A VISION, adds WOOD to an ALREADY BURNING FIRE, and LOVES THE MINISTRY not a ministry.

At GRANITE we have a few GRANITISMS when it comes to THE RIGHT TEAM MEMBERS

  • Every NEW PEAK requires a NEW TWEAK
  • Who got us here may not be the RIGHT PERSON to get us there
  • Leaders are not FOUND they are DEVELOPED
At GRANITE as our church grows we must have growing leaders.  Leaders who are willing to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for their growth.  As an church/organization we have a responsibility to lead, feed, and develop our leaders but that does not take away from the personal responsibly for our leaders to through  INVESTIGATION and INTERROGATION.

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER has a commitment to helping the whole team grow.

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER focuses on where we are going not where we have been.

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER focuses on SOLUTIONS not problems.  I say at GRANITE problems we have, SOLUTIONS we need.  

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER constantly RE-CALIBRATES what is need in THE NOW, as we GROW FORWARD towards the WHEN.

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER FUELS THE VISION, they do not FRUSTRATE THE VISION.

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER sometimes has to be PULLED BACK, but NEVER EVER PULLED ALONG!

The RIGHT TEAM MEMBER always OVER COMMUNICATES, never under communicates.

I could go on and on, but I think that goes you a healthy and clear understanding of what a RIGHT TEAM MEMBER at GRANITE looks like!

LEADERS LEAD

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

FOUR BIG QUESTIONS

At GRANITE moving the ball down the court means we are moving people into BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP.  And since we know PROGRAMS DON'T MORE PEOPLE but that PEOPLE MOVE PEOPLE we have FOUR BIG QUESTIONS we constantly ask in regards to those who are either NEW TO GRANITE or CALL GRANITE HOME.  What are those questions?  Well I'm glad you asked! Who are they? Where are they? What's their next step? Who's leading them?
