THE INVISIBLE BULLS EYE!

We just finished a series at GRANITE called TRUTH IS...I'd like to say something to all leaders everywhere, and especially to our GRANITE UNITED LEADERS.

TRUTH IS.. IF YOU AIM A NOTHING 
YOU WILL HIT IT EVERY TIME!

I know its deep right!  But the TRUTH IS...as leaders we have to know what the next step is as we reach toward accomplishing the DREAM OF JESUS CHRIST for our ministry.  But then again in order to take a PURPOSEFUL NEXT STEP you have to have a CLEARLY DEFINED, DOCUMENTED, DESTINATION!

TRUTH IS...a lot of leaders want to be part of the action but the are unclear, as to WHAT THE WIN IS!  And if you don't know what the win is, you never know if your actually making any progress.

So I ask you, WHATS YOUR NEXT STEP?  Are you entering this weekend, having dedicated time during the week to put points on the board for JESUS?

Or are you just going to show up, and "HOPE" you take a step i the right direction by accident?  If what we do matters, AND IT DOES, then it's worth taking the time to CLARIFY THE WIN, and then putting our BEST EFFORT FORWARD!

Two TRUTH IS things I can promise you...

TRUTH IS...if you aim at nothing you will hit it every time!

TRUTH IS...nothing great for God happens by accident, only on purpose!

TRUTH IS...IT'S YOUR MOVE!

LEADERS LEAD

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

FOUR BIG QUESTIONS

At GRANITE moving the ball down the court means we are moving people into BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP.  And since we know PROGRAMS DON'T MORE PEOPLE but that PEOPLE MOVE PEOPLE we have FOUR BIG QUESTIONS we constantly ask in regards to those who are either NEW TO GRANITE or CALL GRANITE HOME.  What are those questions?  Well I'm glad you asked! Who are they? Where are they? What's their next step? Who's leading them?
