BREAKING ATTENDANCE BARRIERS part 1

GRANITE UNITED has been experiencing our HIGHEST ATTENDANCES EVER, which is very cool!  I have been asked numerous times what's the key to BREAKING ATTENDANCE BARRIERS through MULTI-SITE.  I'll share a number of things we have learned along our journey in the next few posts

1.  A CONVICTION that GOD STILL is not willing that any should perish.  The Lord has not changed His mind or heart towards the lost, and neither should the church.  We do what we do to DEPOPULATE HELL and POPULATE HEAVEN.

2.  A COMMITMENT to do all that we do for GOD'S GLORY.  All that we are, all that we accomplish is nothing more than GOD DOING HIS WORK in and through us.  The church MUST ALWAYS be focused on GOD'S GLORY.

3.  A CLEAR VISION for what GOD has called GRANITE TO DO.   Our goal is not to be like the church down the street, across the nation or to conform to any person ideology.  GOD has given GRANITE a clear vision as to who and what we are to be, and THE VISION IS NOT FOR SALE.  The vision wil be challenged by VISION VANDALS, and fueled by VISION VICTORS, but at the end of the day IT'S GODS VISION AND ITS NOT FOR SALE.  

These are THREE of the many keys to BREAKING ATTENDANCE BARRIERS, to REACHING AND KEEPING PEOPLE.  These may sound to SIMPLE but at GRANITE we have learned these are THREE MUSTS to growing a HEALTHY CHURCH.  

For our GRANITE TEAM this is a reminder of WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!

LEADERS LEAD

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

FOUR BIG QUESTIONS

At GRANITE moving the ball down the court means we are moving people into BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP.  And since we know PROGRAMS DON'T MORE PEOPLE but that PEOPLE MOVE PEOPLE we have FOUR BIG QUESTIONS we constantly ask in regards to those who are either NEW TO GRANITE or CALL GRANITE HOME.  What are those questions?  Well I'm glad you asked! Who are they? Where are they? What's their next step? Who's leading them?
