CREATING COMMUNITY

If COMMUNITY MATTERS in all churches I promise you COMMUNITY MATTERS in MULTI-SITE CHURCHES on a HOLE NUTHA LEVEL!  Why?  Because most of the people at GRANITE have left the "security" "stability" and "security"of the "main" campus to go and be part of THE DREAM OF JESUS to bring those close to us and far from God to salvation.

Kudos to everyone who has stepped out to be a part of as GRANITE CAMPUS and kudos to those who have stepped up and stepped in at Salem to keep the SALEM CAMPUS moving and grooving for the GLORY OF JESUS!  Okay back to the point...

As leaders one of the things we need to do is CREATE HEALTHY COMMUNITY so that our  TEAMS CAN GEL, new RELATIONSHIPS CAN FLOURISH, and for ENCOURAGEMENT CAN HAPPEN.

Hebrews 10:24-25, “24 Let us think of ways to MOTIVATE ONE ANOTHER to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our MEETING TOGETHER, as some people do, but ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”  NLT

So here are a few ideas on how to CREATE COMMUNITY.  Obviously you will think of a lot more ways then what I will throw out so feel free to share...

1.  Encourage your team to show up 15/30 minutes early to spend time together
2.  Meet an hour early at a local place for some coffee and laughs
3.  Start a small group
4.  Take time out of your week to connect via social media
5.  Plan a fun activity.  Activities dont have to cost a lot of money by the way
6.  After church or practice go grab something to eat

There are so many more ways COMMUNITY can happen but here is the common denominator in every idea.  IT TAKES INITIATIVE FOR COMMUNITY TO HAPPEN.  Somebody has to take the first step, then watch what will happen!
