Let me share some of my 2009 HIGHLIGHTS
  1. God's AMAZING GRACE
  2. Growing closer to Jesus
  3. The privilege of another year SERVING MY SAVIOR
  4. Celebrated my 23rd wedding anniversary with the love of my life, CHRISTY
  5. Had an amazing vacation with my kids, parents, and friends
  6. Got to see people I care about come to Jesus
  7. Was blessed to see WARRIORS for JESUS rise up at GRANITE UNITED CHURCH
  8. Was part of seeing over 120 people follow Jesus in Baptism
  9. Blessed to know that all our church plants are healthy and growing
  10. Got to get away with Christy to Maine
  11. Spent time with dear friends from around the country
  12. Cody and I won our fantasy football league - more Cody than me
  13. Was incredibly blessed to be a blessing
  14. Moved our church to new location - at least when its not snowing, lol
  15. Saw our ministry team mature and lead on a HOLE NUTHA LEVEL
  16. Saw our church exercise faith which intersected with God's faithfulness
  17. Catalyst with team
  18. The huXtable - added over 100 new WARRIORS for Jesus in ministry
  19. Hanging with my kids at HAMPTON BEACH
  20. Houston Trip- Giving Joel Olsteen the blessing to meet my family
  21. Watching Cody catch a 35 inch fish in Bay
  22. Watching my daughter ASHLEY lead worship
  23. Watching my daughter CALEY pour her life into her girls
  24. Chillin with my HARLEY!

Psalm 103:1-5, "1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." A pastor friend of mine and I were talking about the season the LOCAL CHURCH finds herself in right now. After our conversation he put this little slide together which is so true. Just remember this isnt burning on other GREAT MINISTRIES and PASTORS but those ministries need to be more like a 5 hour energy drink and not your main meal. Everyone needs THE LOCAL CHURCH and YOUR LOCAL CHURCH needs you. And more importantly THE LOCAL CHURCH is GODS PLAN for every Christians life. STAY CONNECTED...

COMMUNICATION IS MINISTRY

COM·MU·NI·CA·TION   - 1. the imparting or exchanging of information or news.   synonyms:       transmission, conveyance, divulgence, disclosure; More   2. means of connection between people or places, in particular.  (dictionary.com) Sounds simple and yet it's one of the major reasons why RELATIONSHIPS BREAK DOWN - whether those relationships are personal or professional.  But the opposite is also true when there is a commitment to COMMUNICATION the results can be OUTSTANDING!  Dictionary.com says COMMUNICATION is the MEANS OF CONNECTION BETWEEN PEOPLE.   What does that have to do with MINISTRY?  Answer...EVERYTHING!  There is NO, let me repeat, NO real, meaningful or lasting ministry without COMMUNICATION.  By the way COMMUNICATION is not PREACHING AT PEOPLE its CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE.   Remember the old saying, People don't care how much you know until they know ...

THE POWER OF CAPTURING MOMENTS IN MINISTRY

Last night in a CP meeting we discussed THE POWER OF STORIES - as I was reading this morning I was also reminded how important “pictures” that create conversation is to THE LORD.  Check these verse out… Joshua 4:6-7, “ 6  We will use these stones to build a memorial. In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’  7  Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Israel forever.”  NLT A few things about capturing picture and videos on weekends…  They capture the moment They create conversation They intrigue the next generation They EXHALT GOD They remind us of GODS POWER They remind us of GODS FAITHFULNESS They encourage us in FUTURE OBEDIENCE They remind us that GOD always keeps HIS PROMISES They give us a reference to LOOK BACK on for FUTURE FAITH They encourage us to STAY FAITHFUL even in ...
