Turning Dreams Into Realities

I believe when church leaders share their God dreams and begin the process of seeing those dreams become realities that it becomes the fuel that inspires others to take the risks necessary for the church to advance. Let's be honest everyone wants to be a part of a winning team, but for a team to be considered victorious there needs to be wins along the way. So how do we determine what a win is? Let me share with you the first two steps, and I shared step one in an earlier post. Think about this.

Everyone wants to be successful for the kingdom, but not very one has taken the time to calculate the necessary steps to be successful therefore we never know if we are actually putting points on the board or if we are getting closer to making the dream a reality. So what do we do? First we recapture the dream, and secondly we begin to think of the necessary steps that need to be taken to making the dream reality. We start thinking and writing down a step by step process. Once we do these two things are dreams start to become measurable. And when dreams become measurable, purposeful celebration will be just around the corner.

LEADERS LEAD

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

Got To Love It

I am NOT venting in this post, I am simply sharing with you some of the crazy yet humorous things that happened in the past 7 days. 1. We had a former family who left our church a couple of years ago try to recruit one of our faithful families because we don't teach or use the Bible at GRANITE. 2. We had a family leave the church this week because we are to strict on how we teach the Bible and how serious we are about it. 3. I had a "christian" family tell me they left the church because of that darn rock and roll music we use sometimes to open up our services. 4. I baptized a man last week at the lake who said he was tuned in from the moment we sang Livin' On A Prayer (sung during our prayer series, and it was awesome) 5. Was told by a man that our church is to strict when it comes to holiness and purity, so he needed to find a new church that his lifestyle could fit in with 6. Was told that a man in our church was approached by someone and encouraged to leave
