PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!  Recently our team implemented "THE BOOK" rule.  Not the BIBLE because we are and always have been all about the BIBLE!  "THE BOOK" I'm referring too is a resource a tool that each campus leader has received to begin writing in for the purpose of...

  1. Staying Connected to the people on our campuses
  2. Praying for the people and needs of our campus
  3. Keeping our campus families in front of us at all times
Just as THE BIBLE is not optional, "THE BOOK" is not an option for our team.  As leaders we have made a commitment to LOVE, SERVE, HONOR, and PRAY for the families GOD HAS ENTRUSTED TO OUR CARE.  

So GRANITE LEADERS its time for all of us to go by "THE BOOK"!  WOOT, WOOT!

In the book GO BIG the author suggests as goes the pastor so goes the church. In the GRANITE CONTEXT I would put it this way, AS GOES THE MINISTRY LEAD SO GOES THAT MINISTRY. We are a team oriented, team driven church, meaning, as LEAD PASTOR allot of sharing has been given out in our ministry, with the PRIVILEGE comes incredible RESPONSIBILITY. One of the things I have been encouraging our MINISTRY LEADS in 2011 is to GET YOUR HANDS OFF THE MINISTRY AND ONTO THE MINISTERS. As a HIGH LEVEL LEADER you cannot afford to get bogged down in programs and must stayed focused on people, your ministry people. Eph. 4:11-12, encourages us to EQUIP SAINTS, not to run programs. Programs are important but they do not warrant our attention tot he point of neglecting our teams. It will be our team members who will provide healthy programs, as we pour our lives in maintaining healthy leaders. So lets make this post a little more interactive than usual and throw out some ideas on how to LOVE ON

NOTHING CAN REPLACE THE LOCAL CHURCH

A pastor friend of mine and I were talking about the season the LOCAL CHURCH finds herself in right now. After our conversation he put this little slide together which is so true. Just remember this isnt burning on other GREAT MINISTRIES and PASTORS but those ministries need to be more like a 5 hour energy drink and not your main meal. Got To Love It

I am NOT venting in this post, I am simply sharing with you some of the crazy yet humorous things that happened in the past 7 days. 1. We had a former family who left our church a couple of years ago try to recruit one of our faithful families because we don't teach or use the Bible at GRANITE. 2. We had a family leave the church this week because we are to strict on how we teach the Bible and how serious we are about it. 3. I had a "christian" family tell me they left the church because of that darn rock and roll music we use sometimes to open up our services. 4. I baptized a man last week at the lake who said he was tuned in from the moment we sang Livin' On A Prayer (sung during our prayer series, and it was awesome) 5. Was told by a man that our church is to strict when it comes to holiness and purity, so he needed to find a new church that his lifestyle could fit in with 6. Was told that a man in our church was approached by someone and encouraged to leave
